Stockton University Lost & Found

As a courtesy and service to the Stockton University community there is a centralized lost and found system for the Galloway and Atlantic City campuses.

  • For the Galloway campus, the lost and found collection center/depository is conveniently located in the Grand Hall of the Campus Center at the Information Desk, however items can also be turned in at Campus Police in Building 71.

  • For the Atlantic City campus, the lost and found collection center/depository is in the Academic Center, however items can also be turned in at the Campus Police substation in the Residential Facility during operational hours.

The staff from the Office of Event Services and Campus Center Operations work in conjunction with Atlantic City Operations, Campus Police and Access Control/Lockshop to make every effort to restore lost items to their rightful owners, however, it is the owner's responsibility to report and/or claim lost articles.

    Collection Procedure

Articles of a lesser value such as clothing, textbooks, flash drives, etc., that are turned into the Campus Center (Galloway) or Academic Center (Atlantic City) are held until picked up by Campus Police on a weekly basis.

  • For the Galloway campus, these items are then cataloged by Campus Police (Galloway Officers) and remain in their possession for up to six months (Building 71). Articles of high value or of an urgent or sensitive nature such as automobile keys, wallets, or government identification are reported to Campus Police by Campus Center staff immediately and a pick up is arranged as soon as possible.

  • For the Atlantic City campus, these items are then cataloged by Campus Police (Atlantic City Officers) and remain in their possession for up to three months (Police Substation in the Residential Facility). Articles of high value or of an urgent or sensitive nature such as automobile keys, wallets, or government identification are reported to Campus Police by Atlantic City Operations staff immediately and a pick up is arranged as soon as possible.

Stockton student and faculty/staff ID's as well as university issued keys are picked up weekly by access control/Lockshop. If the ID is found not to have already been replaced, access control will hold the ID awaiting pickup by the rightful owner. If the ID is found to have been already reported and reissued, it will be destroyed.

The most efficient manner to return a found item to its owner is to drop it off at one of our collection centers as soon as possible. When a faculty or staff member holds onto a found item it typically leads to a delay in returning items!

To report a stolen item please contact Campus Police directly at 609-652-4390, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
